In a collaborative effort aimed at empowering women and ensuring their safety, the Indore Police, Sports Association of Mixed Martial Art, and Kautilya Academy joined forces under the banner of the self-defense armor campaign. On the 22nd of October, 2019, an enlightening session took place at the Gujarati Kanya Mahavidyalaya in Indore, where the team of mixed martial arts experts imparted a range of self-defense techniques to the girl students. The event not only focused on physical defense but also addressed important aspects of personal safety and cybercrime awareness.

The workshop encompassed various self-defense techniques, ranging from basic maneuvers to more advanced strategies. Students were taught how to respond effectively to different scenarios, including encounters with antisocial elements. The experts emphasized techniques like using everyday objects as tools for self-defense and maintaining awareness of one’s surroundings. The significance of self-confidence and preparedness was highlighted throughout the session.

The interactive session served as a platform for addressing the concerns of the participants. The students were encouraged to voice their queries and problems, which were attentively addressed by the experts. This interaction facilitated a holistic understanding of self-defense and personal safety.

The Indore Police department played a pivotal role in enhancing the girls’ awareness of cybercrime and online safety. The students were informed about the potential risks associated with social media and the internet, along with the precautions they could take to protect themselves online. The police also provided the girls with essential helpline numbers to ensure their safety and well-being.

The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals including SSP Ruchi Vardhan Mishra, Additional SP Shailendra Kumar Chauhan, and members of the Staff Association of Gujarati Girls College, including Mr. Vikas Sharma, Vijay Madariya, Ram Dhakad, Hemant Badal, and Kailash Yadav. The collective effort of the Sports Association of Mixed Martial Art, led by Madhya Pradesh President Mr. Devendra Pratap Tomar (Ramu Bhaiya), has been commendable. They have successfully provided self-defense training to over one lakh seventy thousand girls across Madhya Pradesh. This ongoing initiative continues to educate and empower women throughout the state.

In conclusion, the collaboration between the Indore Police, Sports Association of Mixed Martial Art, and Kautilya Academy stands as a powerful testament to the commitment to women’s safety and empowerment. By equipping young women with self-defense skills, personal safety awareness, and cybercrime knowledge, the event has contributed significantly to creating a safer environment for women in Indore and beyond. The dedication of all those involved in this initiative is a beacon of progress in fostering a more secure and empowered community.
