In a remarkable initiative aimed at women’s safety and empowerment, Neel Mahadev Civicon Pvt Ltd, located in Ratlam city, has undertaken a substantial endeavor. After successfully training around 1,50,000 women in cities like Gwalior, Indore, Bhopal, and Neemuch, the company, under the leadership of Mr. Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar, President of the Sports Association of Mixed Martial Arts, has teamed up with the Sports Association of Mixed Martial Arts and Shakti Vahini to launch a weekly free self-defense campaign. This campaign, chaired by Mr. Shiv Pratap Singh Chauhan, aims to empower women and girls in the Ratlam district.

Commencing from the 23rd of October, 2018, the self-defense campaign unfolds as a significant stride towards fostering women’s safety and self-reliance. The initiative entails the collaboration of numerous schools, colleges, madrassas, and coaching classes across the district. Key figures behind the campaign, including Ms. Neetu Sharma, the organizing secretary, and Vikram Award-winning international sports coach, Sensai Vikas Sharma, have worked relentlessly to ensure the campaign’s success.

Under the guidance of these dedicated individuals, a team of ten martial arts experts has been assembled. This team is committed to providing training on self-defense techniques to effectively safeguard against anti-social elements in adverse situations. The campaign’s commencement at Dehli Public School, Ratlam, witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Anokhi Lal ji Kataria, Mr. Jaiprakash Sharma ji, Mr. Lal Singh ji Solanki, Mr. Vinay Pandya ji, Ms. Bhumika Choudhary, and Mr. Devendra Rathore, among others.

The inaugural event was conducted by Ku, Anju, and included a range of activities and presentations. The event emphasized the importance of self-defense training and its role in enhancing women’s safety and confidence. Chief Instructor Basant Sharma, Mr. Balwant Deora, Mr. Rajni Prajapat Shrikantashree Suraj Gurjar, Abhishek Pathak, and Ashish Chauhan were among the distinguished personalities present, showcasing their commitment to the cause.

The campaign’s essence lies in its dedication to fostering a sense of empowerment among women and girls. By imparting self-defense skills and strategies, the campaign equips participants with tools to navigate potentially challenging situations with resilience. Moreover, the initiative brings together a collective effort, involving individuals from various sectors, to create a safer environment for women in the Ratlam district.
