On the momentous occasion of International Women’s Day, a three-day self-defense camp for women and girls was inaugurated in Neemuch city on March 8th. Organized by the Mixed Martial Arts Association (MMA) Neemuch, the event aimed to empower women and enhance their self-defense skills. Distinguished women talents from Madhya Pradesh graced the event as chief guests.

The inauguration saw the presence of notable figures such as Shri Vikas Sharma, Vice President of MMA India and Secretary of Madhya Pradesh MMA, and Mrs. Santosh R., who received the prestigious Vikram Award from the government. Also in attendance were S Rawat DIG CRPF, Mrs. Chitra Dilip Singh Parihar MLA Neemuch, Mr. Pawan Ji Patidar BJP District President Neemuch, Mr. Rakesh Ji Jain Municipality President, and Mrs. Avantika Singh Jat District Panchayat President, among others.

The camp received substantial support from various influential individuals, including Dr. Madhuri Chaurasia, a renowned Social Worker and Director of Gyanodaya, Mr. Rajkumar Ahir, Congress leader and patron of Neemuch District Mixed Martial Arts Association, Santosh G. Chopra, Rajendra G. Sharma (wrestler), Mr. Abhinav Chaurasia (Raja Bhaiya), President of Neemuch Association, and Vice President Gajendra Sharma. The training was provided by accomplished instructors such as Meera Thapa Madam, Ashish Chauhan, Natasha Sharma, and Seema Yadav, who imparted both martial arts and yoga techniques.

The three-day event featured intensive martial arts and yoga training sessions. The camp aimed not only to equip women with self-defense skills but also to instill confidence and a sense of empowerment. The training was designed to teach practical techniques for self-protection and to create a safe space for women to learn and grow.

The camp reached its conclusion with the Women’s Self-Defense Camp and Mahila Shakti Samman ceremony. The event was presided over by Devendra Pratap Singh Tomar (Ramu Bhaiya), the State President of MMA Sports Association of Mixed Martial Arts, Madhya Pradesh, and Santosh G. Chopra, the State Vice President. Under the auspices of Neemuch Mixed Martial Art Association, the three-day camp and honor ceremony were organized free of charge.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and offering of flowers to Goddess Saraswati. MMA President Abhinav Chaurasia (Raja Bhaiya) welcomed the attendees and provided insights into the planned activities and upcoming sports competitions. State Vice President Neetu Sharma emphasized the importance of self-defense training for women and urged them to unite against societal crimes.

The training sessions were conducted by accomplished instructors and covered a range of techniques, from self-defense to physical fitness and combatting violence against women. The program also featured demonstrations by experts, encouraging participants to maintain their physical well-being.

The event concluded by honoring esteemed guests, MMA office bearers, and trainers. The association recognized the dedication and commitment of individuals who contributed to the success of the camp and the empowerment of women.

In summary, the three-day self-defense camp and honor ceremony organized by Neemuch District MMA Association on the occasion of International Women’s Day stood as a powerful testament to the commitment to women’s empowerment and safety. Through martial arts training and shared knowledge, the event aimed to equip women and girls with the skills and confidence to navigate the world securely and assertively.
